MR outlines his priorities pledges new era with a new Constitution

Unveiling the Mahinda Chinthana manifesto 'The Path to Win the World (Lowa Dinana Maga)' yesterday (23), the government said, it would protect all soldiers and citizens, who were part of the humanitarian mission, from being taken to an international Court or being investigated for alleged war crimes, including human rights abuses.
In accordance to the legal framework in the country, a domestic mechanism would however be put in place to mete out justice to any citizen whose human rights were violated during the humanitarian mission, the manifesto added.
